Penske 7500 CODA double-adjustable coilover damper for Caterham Seven — S3, SV and CSR

Independent Compression and Rebound

The 7500 CODA takes the same Penske 7500 platform as the COSA and adds a second external adjuster, so compression and rebound damping can be set independently. Each direction of movement is a different event with different demands — and the CODA lets you tune one without disturbing the other, all without the complexity or packaging of a remote reservoir.

As with every Penske kit we supply, the CODA is built on Simon Rogers' championship-winning valving, proven in real Caterham competition. The front dampers run digressive/linear pistons and the rear run a linear piston — the same deliberate configuration developed for how the Seven loads each axle, now with the freedom to refine compression and rebound separately as the car evolves.

Sweep or Clicker Adjuster

Like the COSA, the 7500 CODA is offered with two rebound adjuster styles. The standard sweep adjuster — the type shown in the images — is set with a pin tool and is the robust, proven choice, from £3,758. The clicker eyelet gives quicker, more repeatable adjustment by hand and is the option many competition drivers prefer, from £4,002. The kit is otherwise identical — the choice is purely the adjuster. Both prices are +VAT and shipping.

Who the 7500 CODA is For

This is the kit for the Caterham driver who has a process — adjusting compression and rebound against chassis behaviour they can identify, across track day, club racing and hillclimb use, and who values Penske's rebuildability for long-term development.

If you want genuine separate adjustment but a simpler ownership step, the single-adjustable 7500 COSA sits below this; if you need true high- and low-speed compression control with a remote canister, the triple-adjustable 8700 3-way is the next step up. And for many road and lighter track Caterhams a Nitron NTR R3 offers independent adjustment for considerably less — we will give you an honest comparison.
